Brian Cosgrove – Director

The head guru. Specialising in tax, financial planning and superannuation, Brian will have answers to almost any question thrown at him. Brian worked for the ATO from 1972, mainly in tax investigation, until moving into Public Practice Accounting in 1990. He is a Certified Practicing Account, Tax Agent and Financial Planner. He also has the Superannuation Specialist accreditation from the Self Managed Superannuation Fund Professionals Association of Australia (SPAA). A Reds supporter both in terms of football and the beverage, Brian is an easy going fellow with a wealth of experience.

Graeme Ellis – Director/Accountant

Our accounting Pro. Graeme is the man to sort out any business tax issue or MYOB problem. Graeme has a Bachelor of Business, is a Certified Practicing Account and Tax Agent. He has been with the firm since 2000 and started in Public Practice Accounting in 1997. As well as being an accounting genius, Graeme loves the surfing lifestyle of the Gold Coast and so does his wife and 3 kids. If you are looking for a service with a smile Graeme is the man to see.

Renee Gamble – Director/Financial Planner

With quite a diverse career history, Renee heads up our financial planning company BIS, bringing experience and knowledge to the table. Renee has been with the firm since 2000 and is currently undertaking her final subject in the Advanced Diploma of Financial Services (Financial Planning). She also has a wealth of business management and marketing experience. A keen ebayer and a self confessed shoeaholic, Renee is always up for a bargain and a good time.

Justin Doyle – Financial Planner

Justin has been working in the financial services industry since 1999 and joined the firm in May 2003. He is currently completing his Advanced Diploma in Financial Services and has specialist qualifications in self managed superannuation. Justin has extensive experience as a financial planner and administrator and is the head of our Superannuation Administration Team. Apart from being very knowledgeable when it comes to anything relating to financial planning and superannuation, Justin has a myriad of interests ranging from music to sport to culinary delights.

 Scott Bruni – Accountant

The quiet achiever of the group, Scott specialises in small business tax and project management. He has a Bachelor of Business, is a Certified Practicing Account and Tax Agent. Scott has been with the firm since 2003 and is working towards getting his financial planning qualification. Scott has a wife and young son and enjoys a cold beer and watching the footy.

Kelly May – Accountant

Kelly joined the firm in 2007 and has a Bachelor of Business. She is currently undertaking the Certified Practicing Accountant program and aims to have it completed by the middle of 2011. Married with 3 kids, life can be hectic sometimes, so going to the local gym and shopping are great stress relievers for her.

Chloe Ward – Superannuation Admin

Chloe joined the firm in 2008 and is regarded as the backbone of the “super” team. She is undertaking the Diploma in Financial Services (Financial Planning) and aims to have her qualification by the middle of 2010. Chloe, who has recently married, has a wicked sense of humour and likes to participate in activities such as guitar hero and Wii.

Fiona Burge – Financial Planning Admin

With a bubbly personality and infectious laugh Fiona is will usually be the person you will meet when you come into reception. Prior to starting a family, she had 18 years experience in the banking industry, mainly in human resources and personnel. Fiona joined the firm in 2007 and brings with her a wealth of customer service experience. A keen netballer and cook, Fiona is always on the go.

Lesley Hayward – Office Manager/Taxation Admin

Our longest standing staff member, Lesley is the person to ask for regarding general taxation questions. She has been working for Brian from when he first when into Public Practice in 1990. Lesley is also involved in a great charity, Teenage Adventure Camps Queensland which aids in providing a bit of fun and relief for disabled children Queensland wide.

Tim O’Hara – Practice Manager

The organiser of the group, Tim is our companies’ man behind the scenes. He has extensive small business management experience and more than 12 years experience in Financial Services. Tim and his wife built a house on their northern NSW property which is run exclusively on solar power. He is also in the process of establishing an Australian native fruit orchard and regenerating rainforest.
